"It can’t be trash!" is dedicated to the exploration of the hidden aesthetic of kitsch. I believe that every kitsch, every souvenir, and every unloved gift possesses a hidden and very individual aesthetic that was at least felt by its creator. "It can’t be trash!" liberates kitsch from its trashy reputation and elevates it to sculptures and masterpieces of art in order to facilitate the search for the covered aesthetic in it. It is an invitation to speculate about what their creators may have thought when they designed and manufactured their masterworks.
