A new photozine is out! „It can’t be trash!“ is dedicated to the exploration of the hidden aesthetics of kitsch:
The idea behind this project is the assumption, that every kitsch, every souvenir, and every unloved gift possesses a hidden and very individual aesthetic - at least felt by its creator! Basing on my quirky collection of souvenirs which has grown over the last few years on several holiday trips, conferences, and local flea markets, this study liberates kitsch from its trashy reputation and elevates it to sculptures and masterpieces of art in order to facilitate the search for the covered aesthetic in it. It is an invitation to speculate about what their creators may have thought when they designed and manufactured their masterworks. After all, it can’t be trash!
