“EURO 2016 was boring!“ is a collection of impressions, which have been documented by Fabrizio Musacchio during the UEFA European Football Championship 2016.
Initially, Fabrizio wanted to document the euphoric highlights of one of the most popular sport in Europe, football. Especially in Germany, the country that won the World Cup in 2014, the expectations of impressive games and rich fan feelings were particularly great. From this German perspective, Fabrizio documented the events during the summer of 2016.
In contrast to his initial expectations, Fabrizio found the exact opposite. It was a very boring EURO with an unenthusiastic soccer tournament, saturated fan feelings and an increased level of commercialization. He captured the void and boredom of something which has become a slick business.
Fabrizio documented his impressions of that summer on his blog and summarized them afterwards in a photo zine called “EURO 2016 was boring!“.
