I had to send my steady companion, my PEN E-P5, to Olympus last week. The touch screen lost its touch-functionality. Bad luck: my two-years warranty expired three weeks before this issue. Therefore, timing is quite bad. I’m used to operate the camera with that touch screen only, because I love to shoot from the hip. I never used the electronic view finder.
Olympus now told me, that they have to replace the entire screen, which costs me a bunch of money - and they don't care that the warranty expired quite recently.
It is like it is: bad luck.
Update: I opened a thread on DPReview, where the entire problem is discussed in detail.
